Our engineering focus has moved to supporting the Universal app for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile so we are not taking any new suggestions in this forum anymore.

Sync Connections across all my devices
Save my connections to OneDrive so I can get to them easily from my phone or my Surface without having to reenter them.

Make it easier to connect from anywhere
Allow me to connect from anywhere to my home or work PC without worrying if it's behind a router or other NAT type device.

Well, to be honest, I dont even know how to use remote desktop. No idea... What IP address?? For a person who doesnt know how to use it means the app is useless. I have both WP and Android phones. Google's remote desktop works awesome! You just need to have gmail and done. You do not need to be in the same WiFi. Works like charm.

Let user change resolution
Let user choose resolution before connect. Full HD and 4K devices are getting common and make no sense to connect with their full resolution. Everything is too small and just a waste of bandwidth. It's needed on every platform (wp,android,ios)

Allow me to discover all the machines connected to my Microsoft Account
Make easy connect to a PC or Tablet Running Windows 8.1 or RT if that devices are connected to my Microsoft account.

Semi-transparent keyboard support
Since the keyboard takes a lot of space, it would be nice if the keyboard was semi-transparent to see what's going on behind it.

Download Files to Phone/Tablet
I would like to connect to my desktop remotely, and download files to my phone. Like, videos or other media. I don't want to have to go to my computer and drag and drop a file over that is too large or just isn't in my OneDrive.
So, add an option to "Download file to current device".

Add groups for computers to nest in.
Much like Remote Desktop Connection Manager that has groups, so that the computers listed will be much better organized.

Stream display to Miracast (or from Chromecast) & use phone as Trackpad
Remote desktop on a small phone is useless. However, let us stream the display to an HDTV, and the situation greatly improves.
Now, I could login to work from a hotel tv, and be somewhat productive. My eyes stay on the tv, while my phone is simply a trackpad/keyboard.

Ability to open RDP files
Currently Remote Desktop app does not support initiating connections with RDP files. Many companies has their own custom portals to distribute RemoteApp and Desktop connections this is why I think this feature is important.

Need VPN SSL Support
Right now Remote Desktop is useless because I have to be on the network to use it. That would be fine if there was a VPN SSL app like the Cisco AnyConnect that would allow me to access the network from anywhere. But still waiting.

Allow Remote Desktop to run without locking the remote PC
This would allow me to control my laptop connected to the TV from a greater distance.
29 votesThe primary focus for Remote Desktop is to take over the remote PC and give you a full experience as if you were sitting there. This scenario is lower priority but leaving active for now.

Enable remoting to Windows Home and Windows RT editions
Currently, it is only possible to remote to Windows Pro and Enterprise editions. I'd like to be able to remote to my Windows Home or RT editions.

support unicode characters in user name
Login fails when the user name contains special characters. Standard desktop RDP client handles such user names correctly.

Concurrent sessions to multiple devices.
Allow me to have concurrent sessions active to multiple desktops and be able to switch between them easily.
